About the Event

We are part of a huge Hamlet project in October! The VanGuard is hosting Elsewhere Shakespeare Co.’s Guilty Creatures Tour. A five-city tour starting in Troy, NY and ending in our home, Far From The Tree in Salem, MA.

This tour is a doozy. A different actor will play Hamlet every night of the tour! TVG co-founder Lydia Charlotte Brendel will be finishing the tour in our home base at Far From The Tree as Hamlet, on October 23rd at 7pm.

Arrive early to claim your seat! Doors open at 6 PM. All ages are welcome, ages 21+ to drink. No tickets required!

Not only are we doing five shows in five cities in five days, there will also be a set of synchronized satellite Hamlets happening in cities across the US on Tuesday, October 20th.

All told, there will be 12 different performances of Hamlet in 12 different cities with 12 different actors playing Hamlet. If you have friends in:

About the Host

Established in 2013, Far From The Tree is a craft cider house specializing in unique, high-quality hard cider made from a variety of local apples and quality ingredients. Most apples don’t fall far from the tree, and the ciders made from them are generally quite similar. We are making cider based on a very different philosophy.

Recently we've also started serving a variety of beers, wine and non-alcoholic beverages to ensure everyone can enjoy themselves when they visit. Our fun, easygoing taproom features live bands/shows, food pop-ups, trivia, craft nights and much more!
