Trust and Gratitude

Thank you for trusting the process.

For those of you who saw A Midsummer Night’s Dream last month, I want to let you in on a little secret.
Most of us had never done this before.
Most of us had some experience with quick-raise Shakespeare, but only in the context of one to two week quick-raises.
Two members of the cast had never been in, or even seen a quick-raise show.

Three performers interact with audience looking on.

Quick-raises are intense.

Taking everything that happens in a traditional rehearsal process, more than two months of work, and cramming it into a shorter period of time.

“Turning the accomplishment of many years into an hourglass.”

I was the only one to have done a 24 quick-raise before.
Putting on a show in 24 hours was a totally new experience for this group of people.
And we had so much fun.

Everyone had so much fun!

It was a dream-come-true for me.
So thank you.
Thank you for buying in to this craziness and trusting that it would all work out in the end.
And thank you for showing up and cheering us on.
We can’t wait for next time.

See you next month at Far From The Tree!
